I have written before about how outcome focussed managers can become, so fixated on the tree in the centre of the forest that they fail to see the riches all around them.

Central to the principles of Pathfinder is a belief (proven over and over again) that each individual has an extraordinary talent and set of strengths than could be of immeasurable value to the team. These are rarely tapped into. Most individual have forgotten their own core talents, or don't rate them highly or have hidden them away through lack of confidence. When a manager adopts a coaching approach, and - with a tool as insightful as the Pathfinder Profiler - begins to elicit a team's hidden talents - something transformational begins.

The highest performing teams that we have worked with over the years in sport, business and the military have all built themselves on the previously hidden core talents of the people that form the team. If you dare to believe in the magic of this, get yours now!

Everyone has a different way of seeing things. Everyone appears to have different values and they certainly have different beliefs. Sometimes those differences get in the way of a team achieving its full potential. Occasionally it's worse - and team relationships get very fractured, especially when times are tough and circumstances stressful.

Everyone has their own strengths and these can often get in the way when it comes to building effective working relationships, with others.

There are those who are brilliantly thorough and detailed in their approach, who can become infuriatingly stuck in detail and critical of others.

There are those who are wonderfully cooperative to the point where they never stand up to others on important issues.

There are those who are brilliantly focussed on getting results, who can sometimes be recklessly impatient or intollerent of others.

There are those who can be brilliantly sensitive to the needs of others, and sometimes over sensitive to their own needs leading to selfishness and disconnection with others.

There are those brilliantly analytical and thoughtful, who can seem detached and superior or slow to make decisions.

There are those who are brilliantly responsible and respectful of authority, who can sometimes be too attached to the old established ways and uncomfortable with change.

There are those who are highly energetic in sharing and starting new ideas, who can sometimes fail to follow through or complete things and not face up to the lack of order they create around them.

There are those who are brilliantly confident and can take charge and lead others, who sometimes get extremely controlling and dominant of others.

There are those who are brilliant at bringing people together and mediating discussions and contrary views, who can find it difficult to make up their own minds and make decisions.

Light and dark in everyone; but always relatively straightforward strategies are available to help everyone be who they are while at the same time learning to connect and engage with others - very different - human beings.

The Pathfinder Profiler has helped countless teams engage with each other, find heightened ways of working together, and discover common language and purpose.

They are not guaranteed through hard work. They will come to you when you deliberately and consciously follow a path that is most aligned to your personality, values and belief systems. This is called the 'Path of Least Resistance'. Your way is not my way, and my way will not work for anyone else.

I have been coaching people from all walks of life for many years, some who have enjoyed quite extraordinary success without finding happiness, some who have enjoyed abundant wealth without finding fulfilment. Whatever the reason that first brought them to a coach, the solution only began to present itself when they took the time to discover that the route to happiness and fulfilment lay directly within their own talents, values and beliefs.

The most important step to reaching your full potential is being who you really are. This means knowing who you really are!

You have countless unique strengths. Your success in life is closely related to how well your recognise and understand these. Many of your strengths may have become weakened over time by criticism. Many of your talents may have become rusty through lack of attention and nurture. One of the most common causes of frustration and restlessness is having a core strength or talent that has become suppressed. Extraordinary personal breakthroughs occur when these strengths and talents are liberated.

If you are curious about how to unleash your own potential for success, happiness and fulfilment - the Pathfinder Profiler is an excellent place to begin.
